A word from the Scrooge of Martinis

I'm a martini purist. Maple and bacon go with my pancakes. Martinis are gin drinks (sometimes vodka)with olive and brine and vermouth, shaken with ice, and poured into a martini glass with olives.

Any other kind of martini is not a martini *humbug*

I'm with her, although I disagree that vodka ever belongs in martinis :-)

But mostly I said "yuck" because I'm not a maple-syrup fan.

About the vodka, I was being munificent. The only martini for me is Bombay Sapphire, dry, up, and dirty. Not that I have occasion to indulge these days! I dream of having a martini party some day.

Yeah, that. This sounds like it could be a yummy drink, though.

Yes, and it should be called "Yum, with a slab of bacon" or something that doesn't have the word "martini" in it *grin*
