the gumbo had a lot of liquid leftover,people scooping out the goodies, which is cool, there was loads of liquid...it makes a damn fine soup a day later
What sort of texture does it have, the day after? I'm accustomed to thinking of gumbo as a much thicker soup and I was surprised that the file powder didn't seem to do that this time around. Wondering if it just had to simmer a few more hours or something.
I'm just now finishing up the last of the gumbo you sent home with Pygment. Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I'm still a bit sick and it's nice to have tasty things that help my throat feel better.
