I find it incredibly satisfying. Of course, it would be better if I ate jam myself at all, and every visitor to my house tends to walk away with a jar, including the oil guy.
I am dreaming of next year when I will OWN the land with the strawberry patch when the strawberries come in, and I will be able to harvest them and bring them to you. I think about this as I eat toast with that Smucker's crap, thinking about how much better our jam will taste.
BTW, can you think of anything useful to do with rhubarb? It's quite energetically growing, and I haven't yet decided whether to consider it food or weeds.
Crap, I'll turn it into canned rhubarb to be nixed with other fruit for pies, it's certainly not a weed. I'll come and get it for myself next year if yer not a rhubarb fan
I'm dealing with Way Too Many Apricots(selling them at the farmer's market, giving them away, drying them, making cobbler) and sour cherries (frozen, drying, cobbler).Tempted to try sour cherry jam.
