butchered 7 chickens for Jocelyn today and got one in return for my service, which is great, since organic chicken is damn expensive. A nice big roaster for when the inlaws show up in august.

Euw. I am all in awe you can do this (do they teach that in culinary school?) but Euw.

They don't teach the beginning part of it(killing and plucking) but the rest is pretty straight forward.

If my rooster goes after my daughter again, I may be hitting you up for advice.

Or if the baby ducks end up being boys and I don't find homes for them. I assume ducks and chickens are similar.

Hey, assuming that August works out, that's something we could do while I'm there.:-) ("So what'd you do on your vacation in Boston?" "Oh, learned how to slaughter poultry.")

Sure, I'll ask Jocelyn. Ducks are similar, and will be easy to translate the skills. The rooster will be tough and will probably be good only for stock and maybe chicken salad
