For the first time in this journey I felt like my body changing was noticeable to others , and really to me for the first time. Dug out clothes that weren't baggy and felt better about my body than I have for a long time. I'm at the halfway point weight loss wise, -50# out of intended -100#. I know the last 25# will probably take as long to lose as the first 75, but I'm prepared for the work it will take. These past 2 weekends have just made it seem to be about more than the standard health problem, end of diabetes and joint problems, people love me no matter what my size crap, and really start to appreciate looking better. Not being willing to spend money on clothes that might be really nice on me now when they'll only fit for a month is a bummer, my clothes are rags and baggy, but what can you do. I need to get some folx out to help me sort everything I own into too big, just right and not yet boxes and than host a clothing swap.

Well, since you are a seamstress these days, can you ater your current clothing for this transitional fase? It might seem strange to have tailored sweatshirts and what not, but it might carry you along for a while. Plus you get to measure yourself and see just how much you have to take in of your old clothes, which might be a boost.

Gosh, congratulations, Tamar, that's great! Hopefully "looking better" and "feeling better" can work together to keep you moving towards your final goal. Good luck with the next 50!

I definitely noticed that you were slimmer, but I didn't say anything, because didn't recall whether the weight loss was intentional or not. And as a "fat acceptance" person, I don't want to always assume that people always want to be thinner. But you do look smashing!

I thought you were looking thinner (and quite well), but I wasn't sure that was a good thing. Now that I know that it is a good thing, congrats and keep up the healthy changes - they look great on you so far!

You looked great at the Flea!

And clothing swap -- I am *so* there. Sometime next month, maybe?

I may not have said anything about the weight, because I can be oblivious to most things, but now that I think and compare, yes -- it is noticable, and you're doing a great job!

In the very near future, I'm going to go through all the things that are either my size or just a little bigger/smaller and get rid of them. I'll put them aside for either your perusal or your clothing swap, whichever comes first. I'll keep you posted.

good for you!

What have you been doing to enable you to do that?

Clothing swap sounds like a great idea. I've gotten a lot of my favorite clothes that way.
