I've been making quiche about once a week now, I should start posting the variations

today:
chourico sausage,crumbled
browned onions
green bean pieces

That sounds terrific. I've been eyeing the Bouchon recipe for a couple of weeks now but for the effort I really want more people than just me around to eat it. :)

I adore quiche - incredibly easy to make, yet appears sophisticated enough that the people I feed are always impressed by it. My favorite combos so far:

1) caramelized onions, bacon, and cheddar
2) roasted red peppers, feta, and spinach

with a seemingly endless supply of eggs and my big sinI use Trader joe's pie crust I can whip one up pretty quickly

ham,cheddar and broccoli
classic Lorraine
smoked salmon,creamcheese and peas
etc...

For various reasons, at one point I had a supply of crumbled cheez filled crackers (the kind that show up in lunch boxes). They made a rather nifty bottom for a quiche, but I'm the only person in my house that will eat quiche :(
