Strange offspring

Sometimes you look at your children and see reflections of yourself...and then there are times they are aliens.

One example: Adira doesn't like chocolate. What mutant fluke of genetics could possible cause a child of mine to not like chocolate?

We got another required letter from Alyssa from camp. She talks about how she wins at camp because she's always up before everyone else and gets a shower in,for as long as she likes, before anyone else wakes up.

Yup, I have a morning person for a child,have had for her whole life.

Kathy doesn't like chocolate either, or coffee. I was thoroughly caffeine-addicted when I was much younger than she is now. I think if teenage-me and Kathy were in high school together, they'd never speak to each other at all. Like you said, very strange.

Andy doesn't like chocolate either. Or ice cream -- of any flavor! Weird kid.

Tell me about it. My mutant space-alien freakdear sweet wonderful child loves broccoli, pineapple and blue cheese, none of which I view as fit for human consumption. Haven't tried him on brussels sprouts yet.

This is the same kid who was choosing steamed vegetables over pizza at a Mass Pike rest stop the other weekend. It was pretty lousy pizza, though.

My daughter loves sushi and hates nuts, so I've got a kid who'll eat a bowl of raw fish eggs but not a peanut butter sandwich.
