My mother has become Bridezilla

Which I thought might happen. At least she's not too bad, lord knows I've seen worse, hell I've been worse. Given the situation she's kinda justified. She's been married 3x before, but never had a single person at any of the ceremonies, all city hall type things. This time she's going all out, a wedding in full gear, with flowers, food, a band, and flower girl(adira). She also has the entire family coming to see this. Relatives from Liverpool, London, Japan, Australia all flying in to see this extravaganza.....thursday night. Yup, my mother's getting trumped by mother nature. At least the ceremony is on sunday so if flights get delayed they should all get here by then. Of course instead of worrying about that she's on my ass about whether I got her apartment keys copied and has decided she doesn't really like her couture dress.

Just think, it could be worse. A friend of mine got married the weekend following September 11 in 2001. And he and his now-wife had family and friends from all over the world attending. His now-father-in-law, at least one sibling-in-law, and a couple of dear friends were across at least one ocean away from New England. Luckily, a resourceful travel-agent friend managed to get the father-in-law in the U.S. a few hours before the wedding, but most of the other friends and relatives overseas were out of luck.

Your mom and her fiance might want to renew any acquaintances they have with any travel agents...

Airlines and Isabel

FYI: Most major air carriers with flights into or out of the areas that are likely to be hit by Isabel are relaxing reservation policies for dates/times within a certain range around the hurricane. Your mother (or anyone helping her) may want to contact people who might be flying into or through any of the affected sites to see if reservations can be changed in advance.
