tamidon: (chef with coffee)
We went out with folks to Lord Hobo and had a nice time. They recently got a Best of Boston nod and seemed really crowded and loud, but with a good energy. Fantastic french fries, really. The truffle mayo was good and the thai curry left me "eh". The barbecued sweetbreads were awesome and I got [livejournal.com profile] trowa_barton, [livejournal.com profile] feste_sylvain and Seph to try the, but [livejournal.com profile] kimberlogic just couldn't do it.They were really tasty tho. The charcuterie plate was good, but didn't have 1/2 the things on it the waitress said it would, it needed a sweet element, and the bread rounds were undertoasted slightly stale slices of Rudy baguettes. The Chipotle Chocolate martini was good, but I really want a Hot for Teacher that [livejournal.com profile] kinberlogic got and clearly really really enjoyed. [livejournal.com profile] hammercock, your Soylent Green, I'm sorry, was just nasty to me. [livejournal.com profile] feste_sylvain had 3 different beers he liked. They seemed interesting, but a smoked beer was just something I don't like with a smoky taste.

Edit: the vinaegar they brought Seph and [livejournal.com profile] feste_sylvain seemed to actually be balsamic vinaegraitte, not cider or malt vinaegar. odd
