and takes names. I went off to do a drop-in interview to day with these guys this morning, who I found out about from [livejournal.com profile] buxombey and [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom. Walk in , and the office person calls one of the guys out, mentioning that I was the one who called yesterday. He sits down, takes one look at my resume, and pulls the other 2 owners out to join him. We proceed to chat. Turns out we have a few past employers in common(hey [livejournal.com profile] drwex, remember Jules catering? One of these guys do).
I was upfront about what I needed, and how I could be good for them. The fact that I don't need benefits and can deal with variable hours is good, I won't hassle them for more hours during slow seasons. 2 of them are parents, but I will have to be clear exactly what my limits are, especially to start.
[livejournal.com profile] feste_sylvain and I will have to go over sick day procedures, him going in late, me going in early, that sort of thng. That he actually has sick days that can be used is great. Cooking jobs are problematic that not showing up screws the whole company, not just what you're doing, so I can't be not showing up just because a kid threw up that morning, we will have to come up with other ways to deal.

This could be really cool, and as I said to them "It''s time I got my ass back in the kitchen".
