Pissed beyond belief

Someone who allegedly read my LJ sent this message to a classical guitar forum my father is one. Keep in mind my father is a classical musical publisher and writer, and this is essentially his workplace. I have no idea who the fuck did this but I am seriously pissed off. If you can't explain and apologise to both me and my father matanya you better hope to god I never find out who you are.

I don't know if that will do any good but ... fucking hell ... and wait, that "call sign" sounds familiar - hasn't this person fucked with others in our community? I must be old and slow myself - this message makes no sense at all to me. I mean, I'd be pretty pissed if someone sent nasty vague emails to my dad publicly, but what the hell is this supposed to be about? It seems to assume that there is something threatening about the fact that this person (supposedly) knows you and that for some reason your father wouldn't want that. I'm not understanding what the horrible consequences of his "spying" on you would theoretically be.

Oh, and by the by, a quick skim of your father's LJ gives me the distinct impression that he is absolutely delightful - excellent writer, incisive wit, and awesomely well-versed and scholarly. It sounds like he did ruffle some feathers on the newsgroups of late, but if the folks in question have decided to pick a fight in this absurd fashion, I'd hate to be them.

Neither do I. But this fellow, and I am sure I know exactly who it is, is an old Brooklynite (like in Brooklyn, NY) who moved to Texas and now considers himself as a real Texas cowboy, pointed boots an all. I got entangled with him years ago on one guitar forum, and since then he has been haunting me. I am not sure exactly what is his beef, but getting to "spy" on my daughter is just beyond the pale, whatever the kick he gets out of it. Reminds me of the old joke of that CIA agent who learned Russian so he could speak like a native, could dance the kozachok, play the balalaika, tell Russian jokes and drink vodka like a real muzhik. So he shows up in this Russian village trying to get in with the natives by showing his skills. On his first attempt, this Russian villager says to him you must be the new CIA agent, right?

How did you know that? I speak Russian as well as you, I drink vodka and play the balalaika. You see, the villager tells, him, we do not have any blacks around here.

Go through your Friends List Tamidon, and ban anyone you do not know who joined after the luau, and does not have any postings on his own LJ.

I think you're right about the source on the news end. From what I can parse out of the headers the news message originated in Austin, TX. So if this person is someone who's been after matanya for a while he may indeed have created an LJ shell and gotten onto tamidon's friends list. That list might well be due for a scrub.

The message text itself doesn't contain anything actionable - perhaps the miscreant thinks you're unaware of something in this LJ. If he's foolish enough to post something actually threatening then we can contact the appropriate sysadmins. For now I'd just ignore it.
