So there I ws in Costco just now and for the first time ever Adira was mistaken for a boy....twice. I'm surprised at my recoil from it,why should I care what they think?, but I still don't like it. Maybe it's tied into the being pissed she mangled her hair in the first place, requiring the buzz cut, but still it shouldn't matter. She loves it being short and not having to brush it anymore.

I was in the doctor's office recently with Kfir waiting for a LONG time. I noticed that the caucasian parents assumed he was a girl and that the Asians asked. The one Indian woman also asked.

Now Kfir has a SHORT haircut. Not quite as short as the woman who was giving it to him was planning but still short enough. I don't recognize his expressions anymore. His features seem sharper and less playful. He looks older. He liked that after bath tonight it didn't hurt to comb it. I may need to get used to the short cut. I miss the curls.
