We put one of those washlet toilets into the downstairs bathroom as part of the age in place renovations. I wasn't expecting to care about it, but we both got to "what, I have to sit on a cold toilet seat and wipe my own bum like a savage up here?" within days.

I stumbled upon this post via Network.

I have always wanted a fancy washlet, but after visiting Japan this past summer and witnessing how grubby, dusty, hairy and splashed the washlets got after a couple of uses, I was less interested in acquiring one.

So I'm wondering - how has it been so far, cleaning this thing?

We have a Toto washlet upstairs and I love it. The heated seat/water in the winter in really nice.
