Sadness

So many of us have lost our cats lately it's getting really depressing, but I figured out why it all seems to be happening at once. We all got our cats soon after getting our own places. We were out of the dorm/our parents house/whatever, and for some of us the most potent symbol of that was getting a pet. Being single and out alot meant we got cats. Cats live 15-20 years, and now we are collectively hitting that point.
How rational, yet not nearly as comforting as could be hoped for.
