tamidonI've written about Bob before, the gerbil that was only supposed to live 6 more months and has outlasted that by more than 3 years. Bob is now almost 6(3 years beyond expected lifespan) and had spent the weekend alone since we were at Arisia. Apparently great age grants intelligence to gerbils because Bob has figured out how to get out of his cage. There I am at the computer(horrors-2 days without email or LJ) when who comes out from behind the sofa...BOB! The little sliding door on his cage had a seed pod in its track, and he managed to figure out how to get it up and out of the way. We know he did this since he did it again the instant we put him back in.
