What kind of dyes are they? Are they standard procions? I was going to pre-soak and tie my stuff at home, but if it's not the usual procion dyes, should I still do that? Are you planning to bake them to set the dyes? The synthrapol stuff you mention is something I have never heard of, is it something new?
