IN the dark

I'm posting from the Library which is rationing internet,slow internet,to 1/2 hour per person. We have no heat,electricity or hot water, but we do have a woodstove so we're not freezing. Not able to stay at all connected, and we don't want to leave the house for long periods out of fear the fire will die and then the pipes freeze. Littleton Electric isn't promising to be done until Monday,tho rumour at the Library is that things should be hooked up today. I don't have alot of faith in the rumours.

But you had water? Do you have a generator on your well pump, or are you on town water?

(The worst part of power outages, for me, isn't the loss of networking or light or electric stove or even heat. It's the lack of water to wash or flush toilets.)

I really would. I love New England, but this was a bit much
