today I finally get to test run my new pressure canner. The split pea soup with ham is simmering away, and later there will be canning!

All American, which I got from Kitchenkrafts.com. No gaskets , and this thing is made of 3/4" thick aluminum

that's the one I'm looking at too. I want to be able to can my own soups, since I like eating them at work, but dont like all the salt in premade, easy to microwave ones.

it's very cool, and I highly recommend this brand. Don't forget to measure the space over your oven first.
