I'm really pissed that they redesigned the boston globe website into something unreadable, so i'm bitching about it here. To complain with me please call

Date: 2003-08-15 08:41 am (UTC)I read it online because when I subscribed I felt guilty about all the wasted trees, especially since half of the papers went unread. I tell 'em so when the Globe calls looking for a subscription. No doubt the site makes money from advertisers, but not as much as they'd like I'm sure.
It's a conspiracy, I tell you!

They have people there just trying to figure out how to cram more ads into the site without it pushing out too much content.
LOL!!
Date: 2003-08-15 09:53 am (UTC)I was a consultant there for a couple months. Their back-end developers ROCK.
Their little graphics slaves there ROCK (especially this one adorable Japanese guy who I worked with a lot when doing the CARS section redesign.. which I notice hasn't been mangled like the rest of the site).
I don't know which management weasel came up with the final okay on this design, but I do agree it's less interesting than the last one. I'm just not going to complain about it because I know how long it took that whole team to get everything done (it was *supposed* to have been launched in April from what I remember)
