OK, I threatened to kill the cat...but he did eat the pecans off the top of my pie, at least 8 pecan halves in maple. I quickly made another pie and he ate one pecan off of that one, from the cooling pie, that was in the over-oven microwave. I thought it would be safe to cool in there with the door ajar. This is not the day to fuck with my food, but I did not kill the cat, tho Mark did throw himself between me and the cat when I discovered the second pie.
